Wanted Snowboard volunteers!

YOUTH VOLUNTEERS AGE 14 & 15

Become involved with your club, be a volunteer.
Assist Snowboard pros  with Valley Critters classes, set up on Matt’s Meadow and helping out with events at the club.

Designed for teens wishing to become a future instructor with our Snowboard programs. A minimum 3 hour morning
commitment is required when programs are in session.

Instructor Training Snowboarding

This program is a great preview to the Level I CASI courses and the perfect progression for volunteers who want to attempt a spring time certification course to become a Certified Instructor. This is your opportunity to learn about technique and skill development in students. Join our senior instructors as they introduce new concepts pertinent to snowsports teaching and gain experience that will become helpful should you apply for a position in BVSC’s Recreation Programs.

Instructor Training Skiing

Learn about skiing technique and development in students.  Join our senior instructors as they introduce new concepts pertinent to snowsports teaching and gain insight and experience that will become helpful should you apply for a position in BVSC’s Recreation Programs. Using the CSIA Level 1 course as a guide we move through ski improvement, snow plow to basic parallel progression and have lots of fun on the way.

Note* If you are 14 yrs of age and would like to take the instructor training program as a preparation for taking your CSIA in December 2013, Please email marilyn.gonneau@beavervalley.ca for information.

Sundays: Jan 6- February 24 9:30-11:30, 12:30-2:30 ( includes CSIA Level 1 course, participants must be 15 by February 24th to attain certification) Skiing only
