The Valley Critters program is a child’s first introduction to ski instruction and skiing at the club. We are dedicated to building a life long relationship as we share our passion for the sport.

Valley Critters

Young skiers between the ages of 4-10 ready to venture out with friends and an instructor for fun while improving their sliding ability on runs they are most comfortable on.

Valley Critters skiing is based on a youngster’s speed and ability and children will be divided into groups on the first weekend. All programs meet at the bottom of Matt’s Meadow at designated Critter signs. It is important to be on time, if your child misses the class departure time by 10 minutes, the parent/guardian assumes the responsibility for finding the child’s class.

What kind of Critter are You?

Valley Critters Skiing
Cougars: These skiers are coming from Parent and Tot or Touring Tots program. Comfort level: Matt’s Meadow without Mom & Dad or a guardian ( 1/2 day only)
Beavers: These skiers are ready to leave Matt’s Meadow. Their favourite runs may be True North or Lazy Loop ( 1/2 day only). Can ride the chair with assistance.
Chipmunks: These skiers enjoy Exhibition or Thru Way.
Gophers: These skiers enjoy Boomer or Roller Coaster.
Minks: These skiers enjoy Canyon and Avalanche.

Sunday Afternoon Valley Critters House League $115.00

HOUSE LEAGUE

House League is a great time for children of the recreation programs in Valley Critters to gain exposure to ski racing. It takes place every other Sunday afternoon on Eager Beaver with awards to follow inside at 2:30.

Meet at 12:30 at the bottom of Eager Beaver.

Gopher, Minks, and Nancy Greene Development are ideal candidates for House League. Sunday full day Gophers, Minks and NG Development will participate automatically. Note to parents: House League participants must be capable of riding the chairlift independently.

New for 2012! hALF dAY JR. jUMPS & BUMPS

 This program offers an introduction to beginner freestyle techniques to our little freestylers in the making. After noticing a trend in younger siblings wishing to follow in their older brother or sister’s tracks, we are launching a program to children who are not quite ready for a full day of Jumps & Bumps!
