K1 INDIVIDUAL PROGRAM AGES 11-12

BV’s K1 Individual program prepares the racer for the Swiss Chalet K1 Individual Series, an opportunity for committed and competitive athletes to measure their skills against their peers. In addition to participating in K1 League racing, the K1 Individual Series consists of 2 Panelled,1 Slalom, 1 GS, 2 SX/GS Intro series. Best 4 of 6 with max 1 SX/GS. The goal of the K1 level is to develop excellent technical racing skills. This is achieved by spending a large number of days on the snow. It is strongly recommended that athletes racing in the K1 Swiss Chalet Individual Series be active in a variety of sports and dry land training throughout the season at least 4-5 times per week.

Athletes register for races through their own club. Each technical race is $35. Participation in the AOSD Swiss Chalet K1 Series will accumulate points in the Series standings.

Athletes will have 2 runs on the same course and be ranked on their single fastest time.
The top 15 athletes in the Series (based on 5 events) will be given automatic quota spots to the K1 Provincials and take the top AOSD seed positions. Please discuss pricing options with the Ski Racing Head Coach.

K2  INDIVIDUAL PROGRAM AGES 13-14

The K2 Individual Race Series is a competitive route for racers who have chosen to make a commitment to the sport of ski racing. Athletes participating in the Individual program are required to attend a pre-season camp, commit to a dry land program and train a minimum of 3 days/week during the season. The Race Series consists of 3 GS races, 1 Panelled, 2 Slalom races, 1 Super G and 1 Ski Cross. Results for each discipline is compiled with combined times from technical races and combined times for speed events.

The Swiss Chalet K2 Individual Series is a qualifier for  Provincial Championships which are qualifiers for the National Championships. Each competitor must be a member in good standing with an Alpine Ontario club and registered with Alpine Ontario in the K2 Individual Series in the fall using the AOA online registration.

J INDIVIDUAL AGES 15-19

The Swiss Chalet J Individual Race series is for racers age 15 and older who want to race in a more competitive environment. This series holds high quality races which provide a good development and competitive experience for racers while enjoying the fun social experience. This series consists of 3 Slaloms, 3 GS, 1 Super G and 1 Ski Cross. Each member must be in good standing of an Alpine Ontario club and registered with Alpine Ontario in the J Individual Series using the AOA online registration.
