What’s new in the world of Food & Beverage?

September 26, 2012 | By: Beaver Valley Ski Club

Delivering great service and a memorable experience are the key values held by the BVSC team and in the world of  Food & Beverage the team is put to the test every day of the winter season!

Deliver Cold Beer…

Extra space is at a premium in the clubhouse as well as at the back of the house.  Chef Keith had a brain wave strike him one summer evening on how to maximize the closet between the clubhouse washrooms to deliver Cold Delicious Pints to our membership with a continuous flow!

He has designed a cold storage room with 4 draft taps which are fed with double draft lines to keep service pumping all day & night long in the Member’s Lounge!   Also the rest of the cold storage space can be utilized to store the backup Kegs at the perfect serving temperature to satisfy your thirst after a day on the slopes...Hoist your glass to the Chef!

Deliver delicious Food treats…

In the kitchen the team is always looking for new and interesting recipes to try on the menu.  The Apres menu is undergoing some tinkering and the Take Home Comfort Food program is back!  An new venture for the kitchen will be chipping our own French Fries from a local potato supplier Rutledge Farms, located north of Shelburne.  Beaver Chips will be the best fries in the valley and on the escarpment…Hip Hip to the Chip!

Keep it green & Deliver it with a cost saving…

Behind the scenes the team never rests and a prime example of this is the dish room!  Maintaining a healthy operation requires clean dishware while being mindful of our environmental practices.  The Club has located a local company Alpine Chemical for our cleaning chemical purchases, they offer green products at competitive prices backed by outstanding service. Our Club will benefit and realize a cost savings.

Deliver service with ease and a smile…

Our people are our greatest asset and an enhanced training program is in effect to provide excellent customer service to you.  Happily we have many staff returning in all key areas and taking the next step involves giving our staff the tools they need to succeed. Cheers to a Club where everyone smiles and knows your name!

We are looking forward to serving our membership once again this year!

Chef Keith
