Familiar & new faces in Alpine Programs this season

September 7, 2012 | By: Beaver Valley Ski Club

Ski Racing

There is a new Head Coach of Ski Racing.  TES Hynes brings a wealth of history and experience within the sport and the industry. TES began his career as a ski racer on Beaver’s slopes and has raced and coached all over North America and Europe, has shared many athletic successes as a coach and will impart his experience and knowledge on our steadily growing and developing program here at your Club.

Freestyle/Freeride

Shawn Letton joins our team as head Coach Freestyle/ Freeride and comes from over a decade of success at the Georgian peaks Club.  Shawn has been instrumental in the implementation and success of the Parkscapers program, an educational group dedicated to creating ‘best practices’ for terrain park construction nation-wide.  He has been actively involved in many facets of both CFSA,FSO, AOS and Canada Snowboard.  We are lucky and fortunate to have Shawn on our team.

Familiar Faces

The rest of the Alpine Program crew returns with Ben Boriss program manager, Dina Riddick Snow School, Cam Farrell leading the Snowboard racing/SBX, Caleb Bosse Terrain Park and outdoor events, Heather Sawyer in the Playschool, and Kimberly Edwards keeping us flexible through Lifestyle programs.  Swing by and see marilyn Gonneau or Jess Bowers for questions or program registration.  Marilyn looks after Recreational and Lifestyle programs.  Jess Bowers coordinates all competitive programs.

Over the coming months, stay tuned as we prepare for another great season ahead!
